March 6th, 2017   Day 6

We are still in Ft. Myers. Hopefully tomorrow we will head toward Marathon.
The trip to Marathon will be quite an adventure as we are not in the intercoastal
and  it's shallow water.  The winds will still be blowing and the waters choppy.  It is about 147 miles to Marathon and will take at least 3 days.  Marco Island will be day one, then to Panther Key for
day 2, and day 3 non stop to Marathon about 70 miles.  Jim has been studying the charts
and making coarse decisions. We also picked up a brave hitch hiker--Teri Rahmann. When
we reach Marco Island we will pick up three more passengers for a few days.  Kevin
Rahmann, and Ben and Amanda James will be joining us.  Some for a night, some for a couple of nights and Ben is with us all spring break.  Posting may be slim as we will be anchoring out until we
reach Marathon.  No electricity.  Should be interesting. The pictures are a sample of the maps
day 2 chart to Marathon

OMG
Jim is studying to figure where, how, and WTF we are doing.

  2. Hello Jim and Penny. Ward Coffman here from the Dubya Bee. (docked behind you in Ft Myers) my wife Beth and I want to congratulate you on the start of your adventure. We will be following your postings with great interest. My son Jesse and I are back in CO back at work but we are anxious to get back to FL and go to the ten thousand islands again. Lots of fun places to go. Everglades City for Airboat rides were a hoot. ask them to let you drive the boat, we did and it was fun. Miami, Daytona, St Augustine are all worth a look. Clear sailing...
