Whitney's First Day Aboard 7-10-17

July 10, 2017

Hi, it's me, Whitney! This is the first time staying on the Colorado Cat for more than a day, and therefore, my first time writing a blog post. So, here it goes!

Going through Hole in the Wall!
Welcome to Georgian Bay and Canada!
We left from Parry Sound at 9:30 and had a relatively uneventful trip, minus the hour of consistently avoiding rocks on the lake's bottom and the couple minutes of confusion over which direction to go. I had a great nap (I only got 5 hours of sleep the night before), and then woke up and enjoyed all the scenery, which was really pretty. We got to the marina at around 4 pm, and then we went swimming! It was a lot less cold than I thought it would be, and I think Mom and Grandma got some pretty good pictures. While we were jumping off the docks, a couple with their Yorkie was also swimming. The Yorkie could swim better than I could, I think. Once we got out of the water we saw a water snake. I'm just glad we didn't see that snake BEFORE we went in the water, because I never would have gone swimming.
Jump!!
We had hamburgers for dinner, which were amazing as always, and then we walked across the street to the local ice cream shop and got some amazing ice cream. Now we're sitting downstairs watching "Gone Fishin'" and I'm writing this blog. Even though we're only here until Thursday, I'm sure we'll see a ton of pretty scenery and have a lot of fun. This was a super last minute decision to come, and I'm really glad we could fit this trip into our schedule.
